Main application

 Raw materials for cationic surfactants. Asphalt additives. Oil additives. Also used as a chemical intermediate, in corrosion inhibitors for industrial cleaning, flotation reagents, preservatives for latex paints and wood treating compounds in cordage, felt, fabric and paper that are not exposed to sunlight. Also for industrial waste water treatment(extracting organic acid and phenol).
